After the coffee extraction the remaining water is drained from the circuit via a spout. Since the water is still under some pressure from the pump, unsightly stains will appear around the spout over time due to water splashes. By using a curved slide, the water is slowed down or deflected and does not hit the bottom of the bowl at an angle of 90 °. In this way we largely prevent splashing as is often the case with machines with an E61 brew group.
In addition, the bowl falls off towards the middle on all sides so that coffee residues accumulate in the middle.
