For certain reasons, the use of a vibratory pump in professional household machines makes sense: they are small and durable, and if they do break, they are cheap and easy to replace. Rotary pumps, on the other hand, need a lot of space, which usually leads to larger machines. If you do not use rotary pumps for a long time, they seize up and need to be replaced, which is very expensive.
The disadvantage of vibration pumps is the loud operating noise. But with appropriate measures, this can be very effectively reduced to an unobtrusive hum.
